It is the policy of Ramsay Engineering that each of its employees shall be provided with a safe and healthy place in which to work. In implementing this policy, management and staff will make every reasonable effort in all areas of accident prevention, hazard control and removal, injury and illness protection and health preservation and promotion. All of these aspects will be given top priority in company plans, programs and job instructions.
In conjunction with this policy and the Quality Assurance Policy a series of rules, procedures, programs and policy statements on specific and individual safety and health matters are posted in our workshop and available on request.
The main objectives of policy are:
- Compliance with the requirements of relevant legislation, codes of practice and allowing adequate financial provisions to meet such requirements.
- Provision of and maintenance of plant and systems of work that are safe and without risk and that make arrangements for the safe use, handling, storage and transport of plant products and substances.
- Provision of the necessary information, instruction, drawing and adequate supervision to ensure health and safety of employees at work.
- Provision of personal protection and safety equipment and where appropriate, industry training and adequate first aid facilities.
- Encourage joint consultation and participation between management and employees for promotion, maintenance of safety and occupational health. It is integral to this policy that all employees are actively involved in the implementation and effectiveness in adequately following company policy, procedures and programs to promote a safe and healthy environment.
